On my official website I would like to introduce myself as a professional bassplayer and guitarist with over 30 years of live and studio experience in the rock 'n' roll business.
Troughout my musical career, I have shared the stage with many well-known artists from all over the world such as:
DIO, SHORTINO, Huriah Heep, Nazareth, Mothers Finest, Scorpions, KINGDOME COME, DREAMCATCHER, LANCELOT, JUICY LUCY, VANDEN PLAS, BODO SCHOPF, THOMAS BLUG,
ALEX BEYRODT, MAT SINNER, DEVILS TRAIN, PENDULUM OF FORTUNE, ALL MY SHADOWS and many more.
My biggest highlight in my live was the performance with my band Lancelot as the opening act for QUEEN at the "Dortmund Westfalen Hall", which was sold out with 14,000 fans.
A dream came true when I went on a sold-out world tour with the guitar legend Michael Schenker (MSG) in 2007. We performed in Japan, Ukraine, USA and England/Ireland
(co-headliner for the Scorpions), in front of enthusiastic fans and sold-out halls Rocking classics from UFO and MSG.
THE BEGINNING:
I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old. At that time, as far as I can remember, I was the biggest ALICE COOPER fan in Germany. Every year I couldn't wait for Carnival to come so I could put on his
famous makeup to feel like a big rock star. I had a really cool guitar teacher who played in a famous local rock band at the time called Sunset Super Session. He introduced me to bands
like “YES, King Krimson, Genesis, Jethro Tull” and many more. That's how I became a big YES fan.
Not because of the guitar playing, it was Chris Squire, the bassist of YES, who piqued my curiosity. His growling bass sound and unique style really impressed me. Two years later my teacher
fired me because he could no longer teach me anything. That was the time when I was excited about UFO, with Michael Schenker on guitar. The first time I heard him play,
I decided I wanted to be just like him. From then on I practiced every day, played all the UFO songs and learned almost every lick and solo from Michael.
As soon as I turned 18 and had my own car, I joined my first band called "EMPIRE" where I played the solo guitar. We only played cover songs from all kinds of bands that
were in the charts at the time and of course my favorite UFO songs. This band didn't last too long as I was recorded by a band called "Lancelot" who already had a record
deal with EMI at the time. The only problem was...! They were looking for a bass player. That was the time when I made my decision to become a bass player.
